Fly Fishing in Boca Grande

Boca Grande is a must for any fly or light tackle angler! Known for one of the largest tarpon layover spots (during migration ) in the world, it affords you a great chance of hooking up with the “Silver King!” Snook, redfish, speckled trout, crevalle jacks, pompano, cobia, false albacore, mackerel…..give you great light tackle action on a year round basis. This could be one of your bucket list trips! Because of the fantastic southwest Florida climate, there is always something with fins to cast to! You will be able to fish a variety of water which is only surpassed by the variety of fish that inhabit this water….. Captain Rex may take you fishing in the Gulf of Mexico near Boca Grande Pass, Charlotte Harbor, Bull and Turtle Bay, Gasparilla Sound, Pine Island Sound, Myakka and Peace Rivers, Lemon Bay….the list goes on and so does the fishing!

We have beautiful water here in south west Florida, so sight fishing is the norm. Poling the skiff on flats and bars give the FLY and LIGHT TACKLE angler exciting shots at cruising and laid up fish. In the event of poor visibility we will search those areas for pushes, tails, and wakes, fish cuts and channels and still have a great day!

  Fly fishing in Argentina

Fly fishing with you and my nephew Brian was the best fly fishing trip I`ve had in years! And yes, The Guide was responsible for our outstanding success (Lefty Kreh move over). My Wife Michele and Brian put our pictures on Facebook. Every picture was very good. Lets do it again sometime. Thanks again for sharing your expertise and hospitality.
